Through the Looking Glass

Finalist - Travel Photographer of the Year. December 2020.

Home for these little glassfish is a coral pinnacle. It’s a magnet for underwater life, a place to call home in the vastness of the ocean. The rocky crevices provide shelter for juvenile fish and act as an anchoring point for all sorts of invertebrate life. The pinnacle is adorned with soft corals which create a stunning explosion of colour. The tiny fish casually disperse when the coast is clear of hunters, never straying far from their rainbow walls. Using a long exposure I focused on the coral and let the fish swim around my camera. Life in a technicolored dream.
