Betelgeuse

Living in deeper water, below 30 metres, Rhinopias, like this bright red one, are a rare find. In the underwater world, they have an almost cult-like appeal, not least because they’re so mysterious. Known for their big personalities they’re one of the strangest inhabitants of this murky world.

Behind the lens, they’re an exciting challenge to try and photograph differently. I used a torch to light the Rhinopias face, and snooted light to highlight its eye.
