Another green water image which I shot in the UK. This appears in Glass & Water as a header photograph for the chapter on Safety.

The brief for this scene was to capture a freediver's exhalation. I wanted to also show the freediver with their eyes closed - which was to help depict the issue of trying to determine whether the freediver was in trouble or not.

Conditions were overcast and the light wasn't good. I was determined to shoot the whole series using ambient light and so I pushed the ISO to 400, opened up the f-stop to 6.3 so that I could freeze the bubble action with a higher shutter speed @ 1/160.
